I’m still amazed at the service

Dries from Roodepoort writes:

I am a pensioner and had to have a newly acquired (although secondhand) vehicle registered in my name yesterday.

To this end I went to the offices in the Roodepoort Town Hall where I was assisted by the most friendly and professional young man.

Not only was he courteous, friendly and well qualified to do his job, but also professional and energetic to perform his duty, despite it being late in the afternoon (past 3pm), which surely implied that he was approaching the end of his normal working day. The latter certainly did not negatively influence his approach to his duties nor customer service.

He quickly realised that the multitude of documents to be completed was confusing to me and without hesitation, he filled in the missing information, grouped the relevant documents together and then further assisted by actually going to one of the cashiers, explain my situation to her.

The net result of his efforts was that when it was my turn to be attended to by one of the ‘administrators’ to have the vehicle actually registered in my name, all I had to do was pay the transaction amount. I stand amazed!

All of the above equates to a very pleasing experience with virtually no queuing nor standing for long periods, due to being attended to by competent personnel. (Please read – NO frustration.)

Hence, my compliments to Mr Thabo Monareng of the Roodepoort municipal offices (at the Roodepoort Town Hall) who went the extra mile. I’d really appreciate it if you could convey my sincere appreciation and thanks to him.

I wish Mr Monareng all the best with his career and I am sure that with his approach to customers, he will be successful and all will be well with the City of Johannesburg.
