Thirty-one suspects arrested

Roodepoort Police made 31 arrests during two separate stop-and-search operations on 13 and 16 January respectively.

The suspects were arrested on the following charges: attempted murder, theft, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of drugs, housebreaking and theft, possession of explosives, assault GBH, reckless and negligent driving, house robbery, illegally dealing in liquor, drinking in public, common assault, malicious damage to property, residential burglary and shoplifting.

The suspects have been detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
