Grobler Park residents to take action

First project in the pipeline.

Residents of Byron Street in Grobler Park has taken it upon themselves to fight back after falling prey to a spate of crime incidents on New Year’s Day.

Spearheading the group is Sebastian Raadt whose home was burgled in addition to four other armed robberies on the day. The Byron Street residents have already set up a WhatsApp group but Raadt wants the whole community to get involved. The group has many projects in the pipeline but will also address other issues in the community such as clean-up initiatives.

On 10 January they will do a clean-up in the veld adjacent to Byron Street, which will include cutting the grass. This veld has the potential of being a hideaway for criminals.

Anyone who wants to attend the clean-up or support the broader initiative can contact Raadt on 081 797 2481.
