Two men are recovering after being stabbed last night (1 December).
According to reports a man, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was at a takeaway restaurant in Mindalore Shopping Complex. The chef and another customer were also in the restaurant when the suspect left and came back with a knife. He then stabbed the chef and fled the scene, but the restaurant owner’s son chased after the suspect and caught him on Strydom Street. While he was being apprehended, the suspect stabbed the owner’s son.
Residents nearby who had heard the commotion came out of their homes to assist. The suspect was detained and handed over to police who are currently investigating the incident.
