24 Seven’s Acro gymnasts bring back medals
Acro Trio excels at Games
The 24 Seven Acro Gymnastics Trio have added yet more medals to their collection, topping off an amazing season.
They achieved silver medals when they participated in the South African Games at the Wynberg Military Base Sports Hall and the Western Cape Sports Centre in Cape Town.
The week-long gymnastics event was a national level competition with over 2 800 gymnasts and officials in attendance. It was the culmination of the inter-club, inter-district and inter-provincial competitions.
The Games saw gymnasts from all nine provinces compete in the seven gymnastics disciplines of Artistic Men, Artistic Women, Rhythmic, Acrobatic, Trampoline and Tumbling, Ropeskipping and Gym for All. Up for grabs were national titles in all the various age groups, levels and disciplines.
2016 has been a successful year for the trio as they worked hard to earn their Junior Central Gauteng colours in Acro Gymnastics. The trio competed in four competitions this year, and raked in the gold medals.
