On the afternoon of Tuesday 13 September eight people travelling in a taxi were involved in an accident at the intersection of Main and Hotel Roads in Newlands.
According to the passengers of the taxi, the driver of the vehicle crashed into a stationary truck.
Paramedics found the passengers sitting on the side of the road. They assessed all eight of them and found they had sustained only minor injuries.
All patients were treated on the scene. Some of the patients were transported to hospital and others to a local clinic to receive further medical care.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown.
