Hoërskool Die Adelaar’s first soccer team is currently leading the way in the D12 Schools League.
The team is in top position after winning five of their matches and drawing one. The league consists of more than 10 high school teams in the D12 district, all competing for a chance to be champions and qualify for the Kay Motsepe Schools Cup.
Team captain, Timelo Ravate, said his team has high ambitions for the competition and will work hard to represent their school and themselves well.
“With hard work and commitment we can win the league and compete on the provincial stage. That is the goal we are working towards. We had a little hiccup in our draw against Hoërskool Die Burger but that will not affect our morale going forward in the competition,” he said.
