I wish to bring to your attention that while the ANC candidate claims he ‘made good on his promise’ [to remove his illegally placed posters], I disagree, after travelling down Honeyball Avenue, Discovery this evening. Unfortunately the photos I took do not show well. I will possibly go past and take again in the morning.
There is no sign of these posters being removed from the substation on the corner of Honeyball and Melville Avenues, and those on Honeyball and Gildea Avenues look as if all that has been removed is one corner of a poster.
Please take a drive down the road and see for yourselves. In my eyes, the councillor is supposedly removing them but they seem to have just been put up again. Deceiving the public is not what I want from a councillor. Councillors must take responsibility for the people who put up their posters and should know the regulations regarding the by laws. How can they want to represent a party and not know the rules?
Definitely not someone I wish to vote for.
