Jwelang Crechè pupils graduate in style

Jwelang Kiddies pupils graduate.

The young pupils of Jwelang Kiddies Crechè at Princess Informal Settlement put on quite a show this past weekend (29 November).

They performed their hearts out on stage for their parents and teachers, singing children songs.

This was part of the graduation ceremony which was preceded by a nativity play.

The crèche which takes in children from the Princess Informal Settlement currently takes care of 70 pupils between the age of 2 to 6-years-old.

In the audience, Councillor Willie van der Schyf, Reverend Hendrik Stolz and manager Louis Trichardt watched the pupils perform.

Trichardt who is an elder of the Gereformeerde Kerk Ontdekkers has been helping the crèche since its inception.

It started as a church planting project to take in children and now the crèche has developed to a level where more children are being helped.
