Power alert: Monday night will be dark
It's lights off in River Lea and surrounding areas after 10pm on Monday night.
Monday night 28 September City Power plans to shut down electricity in certain areas to do essential maintenance work on the network.
Residents and businesses in Croesus, Industria, Langlaagte, Longdale, Paarlshoop, Riverlea and Wibsey Dip will be affected from 10pm.
The maintenance is scheduled to run from 10pm til 6am on Tuesday morning.
“As the supply may be restored at any time, customers are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times,” a City Power statement read.
“This forms part of our program of constantly striving to provide better service.”
The utility apologised in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused during the interruption.
