Imagine paying that much for a cheesburger today.
Apparently a man by the name of Lionel Sternberger invented the cheeseburger in 1926 while working at his father’s Sandwich shop.
During an experiment, he dropped a slice of American cheese on a sizzling hamburger and that is how National Cheeseburger Day was invented.
Today, cheesburgers are famously sold in various restaurants and enjoyed by many.
