Spring celebrated in park with CKRF
Residents became neighbours again at a recent party in a public park.
Herholdt Street Park was abuzz with people as the Constantia Kloof Residents Forum (CKRF) hosted their Spring Party in the Park.
On Saturday (12 September) families, elderly residents, children and even family pets came in their numbers to enjoy summer weather and a braai in the park. Each brought their own camping chairs and children soon left the braai area to join their friends on jumping castles. The atmosphere convinced one that this is where residents became neighbours once more.
The event was organised by the CKRF committee’s chairman Gary Marsh, Mervyn Gaffney, Alwyn Grobler, Ken Stanton, Terry Cousins, Lynne Berry and Liandra Vorstenbosch and the park secured for the afternoon by Sub Rosa Security.
Allegories were told and jokes shared over braais by residents, Mann and members of the Florida Police as well as Florida Public Safety Group representatives.
Vorstenbosch specially thanked Sub Rosa Security owner Jaques Kleynhans and sponsors Food Lover’s Market at Hillfox, Gladiater Inflatables on Golf Club Terrace and the committee for playing a role in the afternoon’s success.
