Crime awareness for Heritage Day

Spend the day with the Horizon View Blockwatch this month and learn about crime prevention tips.

The Horizon View Blockwatch will celebrate National Braai Day by hosting a Crime Awareness Day on 24 September.

The event will take place at The Village Shopping Centre in Horizon View at 9am where the community will be taught about being alert of their surroundings at all times.

“We want to use this opportunity to raise awareness to the community about criminal activities taking place in the area,” said Marketing manager, Alvin Montgomery.

Alvin said although there will not be selling any food or other goods, the community is advised to attend as it is a great platform for them to learn more about being safe.

All role players in the crime prevention industry are invited to share their expertise at a cost of R1000.

The money accumulated will go towards paying The Village Shopping Centre for the space rented.

For more information call Alvin on 083 408 5621.
