Photos: Four car accident on Wilgerood

Three people were injured during an accident on Wilgerood Road and Silver Tree Drive in Roodekrans this morning, according to Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found four vehicles were involved in the accident. Reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle veered off the road, another vehicle tried to avoid this vehicle, left the roadway, overturned and came to a standstill next to the roadway. A further two vehicles then crashed.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found three people sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. A fourth occupant did not require hospitalisation.
The injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact details surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
