No longer safe in Witpoortjie

Two girls were walkind down Van Alkmar Street to the busstop the other day and were confronted by two men, the one armed with a gun.

He shoved the gun in one girl’s side and demanded cell phones from them. She took her cell phone out and gave it to him and they disappeared into the field.

The poor girls were traumatised and couldn’t stop crying. The crime situation is really bad and this field, particularly, is causing parents’ headaches.

The police must start doing something about it. Our children are not safe and it cannot continue like this.
