Weekend: Load shedding forecast

Roodepoort and Florida residents will be affected in the following ways tonight and this weekend.

Load shedding will be implemented at Stage 1 today, from 8.30am this morning (Friday 10 July) til 10pm tonight across the grid.

On Friday 10 July, Block 7B (mostly Florida households) will be hit with load shedding only at Stage 2, from 12 noon til 4.30pm.

On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July, at Stage 1 from 4am til 8.30am. Block 7B will on Sunday only be load shed if Stage 3 is implemented, from 12 noon til 4.30pm.

Roodepoort (Block 3B) residents have load shedding on Friday irrespective of which stage is implemented from 12 noon til 4.30pm but are relatively safe on Saturday and Sunday, only to be affected if more severe stages are implemented: Stage 3 on Saturday from 8pm til 12.30am and Stage 2 on Sunday from 12 noon to 4.30pm.
