Community invited to spend a day in Bert Close Park

Nothing says 'community' better than spending a day with neighbours and friends in the local park.

Don’t miss the community day in Bert Close Park on Saturday 11 July from 1pm. Boerewors rolls and soft drinks will be served free of charge, thanks to sponsors.

The day was partly organised by Ward 85 councillor Carl Mann with the hopes of creating a community drive for the improvement and upkeep of the beautiful park. The space offers something for everyone, being the entrance to the Bert Close walking trail with open areas, play equipment, tables and benches. Trees offer shaded areas for picnics and a steady stream with waterfalls is considered a key feature of the park.

A jumping castle will be provided for children. Bring own chairs. Contact Carl Mann on 082 616 2025 or Lourens le Grange on 011 768 3176 or Ted Lawson on 011 764 3344 for more information.
