At about 8.25am yesterday, ER24 responded to an emergency on Doreen Road in Poortview.
They found that a Nissan bakkie crashed through the fence of a plant nursery. A male was found a few meters away from the vehicle. It appears as if he was ejected from the passenger’s side of the vehicle during the collision. He sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on scene.
The driver was found inside of the vehicle with moderate injuries. He was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Leratong hospital for further care.
It is believed the driver swerved for something and apparently lost control over the vehicle.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Both occupants are believed to be in their thirties.
