The Council for Geoscience has confirmed a magnitute 2.5 tremor was registered at 8.30 am this morning.
West Rand resident had felt the tremor and reported trembling windows and shaky ground.
People from areas such as Helderkruin, Witpoortjie and Horizon View claim to have felt the tremors.
