Spelling error
An advertising company has inadvertently supplied drivers on Ontdekkers Road with a spot-the-mistake game.
Just before arriving at the C.R Swart Road intersection, there is a board with Wilrowpark Ext 26 written on it.
The spelling errors are the w and the p in park is supposed to be uppercase. The correct spelling is Wilro Park.
Johannesburg Roads Agency spokesperson Bertha Peters-Scheepers said the sign did not belong to their department.
“This sign is not a JRA roads sign, but an advertising sign. We have referred the matter to the City’s Outdoor Advertising department and requested their rectification of the name. We trust that the necessary changes will be effected,” she said.
