UPDATE: Bastion teacher recovering

Following a three-way collision on the corner of Albertina Sisulu Road and Trezona Avenue this morning (5 March) a female teacher from Hoërskool Bastion is doing fine.

The accident involved a bakkie that rolled and eventually came to a standstill. Allegedly the driver of the bakkie skipped a red traffic light.

According to school spokesperson Melitta Geyser the teacher is doing fine after being hospitalised this morning and taken for x-rays.

“She didn’t break any bones but will be taking it easy this coming week to fully recover,” Geyser said.

According to ER 24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing a man believed to be in his forties was hospitalised at Life Flora Clinic following the accident.
