Pupils donate money to cancer cause

Pupils forfeit Valentines donations to help cancer awareness.

Pupils at Ridgevale Primary decided that as February is the month of love and that 15 February was International Childhood Cancer Day, they would donate the money they normally pay to wear civvies for Valentine’s Day to Cupcakes of

Hope which is a Non-Profit Organisation.

Their aim was to raise awareness of childhood cancer and money for families in need of medical assistance.

All the pupils received flyers with the early warning signs of childhood cancer. The school donated the sum of R 4576 to this worthy cause.
