After a slight relief from load shedding, Eskom has announced today that stage two load shedding will be implemented.
The load shedding will commence at 10am and will last until 10pm. If there is a need to move to stage three, Eskom will communicate accordingly. The load shedding is due to a shortage of generation capacity as several units are currently out of service due to planned and unplanned outages.
Eskom has asked both residential as well as commercial customers to reduce electricity use.
