Since Silverstar hosted Tutankhamun and his treasures, people have been flocking to see this wonderful exhibition.
Schools across the West Rand have been invited to learn about King Tut and Ancient Egypt as part of the grade five curriculum.
“The purpose of this Silverstar sponsored initiative is to expose school students across Muldersdrift and the West Rand to the wonders of Ancient Egypt and the tomb of Tutankhamun as well as to experience a day out at Sliverstar,” says publicist Debra De Souza in a press statement.
Silverstar’s Director of Operations and Complex Manager, Shane Collinson in a press statement said, “We are proud to host the internationally acclaimed Tutenkhamun exhibition which is the perfect opportunity for Silverstar to reach out to grade five pupils and their teachers, as part of our contribution to developing the future of this region.”
After completing the King Tut tour, each student received Magic Company tokens and a snack.
Maragon students were thrilled to speak about their favourite part of the exhibition.
Nienke Janse van Vuuren enjoyed learning about Tutankhamun. “I found that it was very interesting and I love history.”
Graytin Pretorius said that he likes the way Tutenkhamun’s family goes up in history.
