Roodepoort police make 46 arrests

The Roodepoort police arrested 46 suspects this past Friday during a special stop and search operation in the area.

The suspects face charges of common assault, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, possession of stolen goods, theft of a motor vehicle and armed robbery.

The police also closed down six shebeens in Davidsonville, Mhlangeni and Princess squatter camps.

The suspects were charged and detained at the Roodepoort police station and will appear in the Court this week.
