Factual depiction of Cheynne Holloway

On behalf of many of Cheynne’s family members, friends, fans and band mates, I would like to express our thanks for Mathilde Myburgh’s gentle and factual report on Cheynne’s accident.

Other publications have hinted at drug and/or alcohol use and even satanism. An “eye witness” has claimed that she was pushed. Not one other journalist has bothered to do their homework and to mention that Cheynne died in broad daylight, in front of numerous onlookers and that she never, ever drank alcohol or took so much as a headache tablet, never mind drugs. You are the only one who took the trouble to contact someone (Fred Otto) who actually knew Cheynne personally.

The band’s facebook page has been bombarded with allegations of satanism, drugs, alcohol and foul play. The site’s Administrator has blocked the messages and comment strings, but the damage has been done. This has caused untold heartache to all those who knew and loved Cheynne.

So, thank you again for your kindness in not exploiting the situation and for your professionalism in reporting the truth. You have our gratitude and respect.
