District Bowls Challenge upon us

The Gauteng Bowls will be hosting the inaugural Gauteng Districts Challenge next weekend 17 and 18 January.

The Gauteng Districts Challenge, previously known as the Quadrangular Tournament, is an annual tournament used as preparation for the Inter Provincial Tournaments being held in March.

With the inclusion of Sedibeng Bowls, the Sables Bowling Association, Johannesburg Bowling Association, Bowls Gauteng North and Ekurhuleni Bowls will be the other districts taking part in the competition.

The tournament will feature some current Commonwealth Gold Medalists and Protea Players.

The host bowling clubs for the event will be Ruimsig Bowling Club, Discovery Bowling Club and Florida North Bowling Club with play commencing at 9 am daily at each venue.

The Senior Men and Woman will be playing at Ruimsig Bowling Club, The Open Men and Woman will be playing at Discovery Bowling Club and The “B” Men and Woman will be playing at Florida North Bowling Club.

The Sables Bowling Association in partnership with Perfect Delivery is encouraging all members of the bowling public and the general public to come out and watch some exciting and competitive bowling.
