Make their Christmas special this year
Make Christmas special for the residents of Floroma Old Aged Home.

Many families will celebrate this Christmas with friends and family, handing out Christmas presents and enjoying great food.
The Veranderde Lewens congregation in Hamberg has embarked on an extensive project to bless the less privileged in the community and this year they are focusing on Floroma Old Age Home. However, they rely solely on contributions from the community to achieve their objectives.
Floroma has supplied a wishlist to improve their quality of life. The items in the nursing care department include zinc and castor oil ointment, aqueous cream, disposable gloves, aspirin, Lactovita, Valoid, Immodium, plasters, Ensure powder, Lifegain powder, adult nappies and facial tissues. In the kitchen they require crockery such as white hospital-type plates, cups and saucers. Fresh fruit and yogurt are regarded as luxuries. Restaurant-type plastic chairs, towels, single bed sheets and pillow cases also are high on their list. Outside they require lettering for signage, washing lines, tanks to harvest rain water, exterior PVA paint (white), repairs to the garden benches, and the roads on the premises need to be tarred. The interior of the building needs to be painted (light grey), Marley floor tiles (light grey) and built-in wooden book shelves, and the piano requires tuning. The wishlist also includes contribution towards Christmas hampers for all the staff members.
Floroma is working on a few project and needs assistance with starting a worm farm to reduce kitchen waste. If anybody can assist them, please contact Adéle Powel on 082 604 1333 or Lorraine Brown on 082 434 9050.
