Children at the Jwalang Kiddies Creche in Princess Squatter Camp were all smiles as Father Christmas paid them a visit on Thursday.
The visit came courtesy of the Witpoortjie Pharmacy staff that made sure the man from the North Pole came bearing gifts for the children.
Elizabeth Bischoff and Brenda Grewar along with the pharmacy’s staff have been hard at work getting customers to buy gifts and sweets to support the children as well as local businesses such as Spar, Engen and Del Forno who made sure the children would have a day to remember.
“We are a community pharmacy and we want to do things for those in our area, to see the children smiling is heartwarming,” said Bischoff.
During the winter season this year, the pharmacy and their clients also donated 133 knitted scarves to the crèche.
