Various charities have this year benefitted from Crescent Lifestyle’s giving nature.
Crescent Lifestyle is a Muslim-based community organisation that connects, benefits and supports its members with religious and lifestyle information, discounts and other benefits.
“This year we have united with our members to give a helping hand to those who need it most,” said spokesperson of the organisation, Wasiela Ally.
“Charities have received regular payots from us this year,” she said.
Among the beneficiaries this year were Al Munirah Centre (a centre for children with special needs), Saaberie Christy Dawah Centre (that feed 56 pupils daily), Sultan Bahu Cataract Removal Programme (that arranges cataract operations for less fortunate residents), the Al-Imdaad ‘Make Breakfast Possible” feeding programme at Crown Reef Primary School and the Muslim Aids Programme’s Sandwich Feeding Day (held every year at the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital).
“With Crescent Lifestyle, giving and receiving goes hand in hand,” Ally said.
“We hope to do even more for our community in the next year.”
