Thick mist to cloud Roodepoort

Motorists are cautioned to use their vehicles' fog lights while driving and to slow down on the road.

The thick mist hanging over Roodepoort today (Wednesday 12 November) will stick around for at least another day.

This according to the South African Weather Service. Forecaster Christina Thaele said that a thick mist will continue clouding Roodepoort’s roads on Wednesday and possibly on Thursday morning. Further residents can expect showers and thundershowers by this afternoon and a steady climate of 17º C.

“There is an 80 percent chance of rain today,” Thaele said.

25mm of rain is expected to fall for the remainder of the day.

“Rainfall should lessen by Friday, for which we forecast a 30 percent chance of rain,” Thaele said adding that “rainfall will increase by the end of the coming weekend.”

Motorists are cautioned to use their vehicles’ fog lights while driving and to slow down on the road.
