Motorists at a battle with branches
Motorists are warned to be on the look out when travelling on Ontdekkers Road.
City Parks has a resident hot under the collar.
This after City Parks employees failed to complete their duties and left tree branches hanging on Ontdekkers Road.
The very displeased Vishal Himraj notified the record about the hanging branches that damaged his BMW E46 to the tune of R14 000.
Apparently Himraj’s vehicle was not the only vehicle that was damaged. A couple of motorists have lodged complaints with City Parks about damages to their vehicles’ headlights and mirrors due to the dangling branches on Ontdekkers Road.
After numerous phone calls to City Parks, Himraj managed to get hold of a lady by the name of “Georgina” who requested him to send her a quotation and since has not heard from her.
Motorists are warned to be vigilant when travelling on Ontdekkers Road as the branches still have not been removed.
“Georgina” could not be reached for comment.
