Johan Coetzee of Airwave Appliances wants to state his side after a complaint against his business recently was published in the record (3 October).
“We were contacted on 1 July by Ronnie Fish regarding his bar fridge. We arranged an appointment on 2 July. After checking the fridge we noticed that it had a gas leak and we arranged for the bar fridge to be brought in,” says Coetzee.
“We phoned with a quote of R580, which was accepted by Fish. Repairs were done and the fridge was delivered again on 4 July. Fish later contacted us again complaining about the bar fridge so we sent our technicians out on 8 July but Fish refused to let the technicians check the fridge,” says Coetzee.
“When we asked that the bar fridge be brought to us again, Fish refused. My offer still stands that he can bring the fridge back and we will check it free of charge but we have had no contact from Fish since,” says Coetzee.
