Lady ROCCI hosts high tea to celebrate women’s month

Lady ROCCI encourages business women to become involved in networking.

The Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry ladies division (Lady ROCCI) held a ladies high tea on 8 August to celebrate women’s month.

The event, which was themed “The Great Gatsby Affair” was held at the Glenburn lodge and was attended by close to 100 up-to-the-minute dressed guests from various busineses and organisations.

Lady ROCCI encourages businesswomen to become involved in networking to assist local community projects facilitating the creation of an environment in which the business community and its people can flourish.

Lady ROCCI is committted to working for the expansion of opportunities for women and the improvement of the community as a whole.

The purpose of this dynamic business women’s forum is to address issues of concern to businesswomen. The Forum presents a unifying point of contact and communication creating an effective link between all stakeholders.

The event incorporated speakers from different eminent organisations such as the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), The Melrose Aesthetic Cenetre, Brainwave Careers and many more.

Speaking to guests, Ricus Venter from Discovery Health said it was very essential for women to go for screening tests owing to the fact that a quarter of deaths claims were of women with cancer.

The very energetic Master of Ceremonies Carlo McFarlene kept the event stirring by making quests dance during intervals.
