At least two suspects targeted Wilrogate Shopping Centre in Wilro Park this morning.
The first incident that came to the record‘s attention was their failed attempt to steal an employee’s Honda Ballade at around 7.50am.
According to Joey Preis from Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch, the suspect was in the driver’s seat of the Ballade when the employee noticed him. He then got out and rushed back to his accomplice who sat waiting in a white Hyundai H100. The duo then fled the scene.
It is believed that the suspects were involved in an attempted robbery in the same centre before trying to steal the car. This could not be confirmed by any other sources as yet.
