The Northgate 10km Road Race on 29 June saw 1 800 people enter – some serious runners, some completing their first 10km race.
The relatively flat, but no-less gruelling route started and ended at the Northgate Shopping Centre. There was also a 5km Fun Run, which 500 people entered. The fact that there were no cut-off times ensured that everyone could finish at their own pace.
It’s been 18 years since the first race and it is still growing in popularity. Entries work on a first-come-first-serve basis, so make sure to get there early next year.
