One dead, two injured in Fairlands

One woman was found dead and two other people injured after a collision in Florida on Thursday afternoon (26 June).

“Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a side-impact accident at the intersection of Smith Street and 8th Avenue in Fairlands,” Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said.

A woman was found having tragically lost her life, she said, and two other people were found to have sustained serious injuries. The patients were treated on scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.

“Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.”
