EFF in top three nationally

It’s day two of counting for the IEC following the 2014 National and Provincial elections and the top three parties have emerged.

Even though this is no accurate reflection of the end results, it is interesting to know that the ANC and DA in first and second positions are followed by the EFF in third.

Just before 9am on 8 May, the ANC had 60.71 per cent (3 332 251 valid votes) of the national vote while DA had 25.39 per cent (1 393 461 valid votes) and EFF 4.38 per cent (240 282 valid votes).

Will Malema and his crew beat the odds and hold the top position in their first national election? Only time will tell.
