Realtors collecting blankets for SPCA

The mother-and-son pair hope to be able to hand over many blankets by end of May.

Realtors Hanle and Jandré Lategan are currently collecting blankets to ensure a warmer winter for animals at the Roodepoort SPCA.

The mother-and-son pair started Operation Blanket in both Roodepoort and Krugersdorp areas, aiming to hand them over to the Roodepoort SPCA by the end of May.

“Sometimes, all we can offer our pets is a blanket for the cold, but there are animals out there that don’t have that privilege, without it being their fault.

“If you by any chance have an old blanket that you don’t use anymore, we will gladly accept it,” Jandré said.

He told the record that they are willing to pick up any unwanted blankets from homes in the respective areas. Blankets can alternatively be dropped off at the Remax Beyond 2 000 office on the corner of Clare and Shannon Roads in Kenmare, Krugersdorp.

For further information or to arrange for collection of blankets, please contact Hanle Lategan on 082 591 3725 or via email at lategans@mweb.co.za or Jandré Lategan on 082 893 4440 or via email at jlategan@gmail.com .
