Lusanda writes for hope and inspiration
A local poet hopes to collaborate with other creatives.
Inspiring people are her absolute priority in life and poet Lusanda Tyolo (27) hopes to find other readers and writers to collaborate with.
The record interviewed Lusanda at the office recently. She was part of a black consciousness poetry group in Princess a few years ago and since decided that performance poetry is not her scene.
“They performed their poetry; some of them didn’t even have to rehearse or write it down, but I’m much more of a pen-and-paper girl,” she said.
Quite literally she sampled some of her work written in pen on papers. She writes inspiring messages and enjoys drawing from personal experiences to inform her work.
Lusanda grew up in Roodekrans and attended Ridgevale Primary School and Jan de Klerk High School in Krugersdorp. She is currently looking to collaborate with other poets and even actors.
“I would like to change lives and inspire people – change their perceptions.
“People are hoping for change, but I want to motivate them to change themselves.”
Interested creatives can contact her on 072 7855 179.
