City Parks takes care of keeling tree

Residents concern addressed.

For a some time concerned residents were complaining about the tree dangerously keeling over Albertina Sisulu Road.

The tree that could be found on the right-hand side of the road if travelling towards Roodepoort CBD was hanging over so low that it touched the roofs of large vehicles.

On 11 April the record published an article about the potential threat that the tree was posing and was pleasantly surprised to see that four days later on the morning of 15 April a City Parks team was hard at work cutting the tree off.

“We are glad that the community can see that we do react to their concerns,” said a smiling team leader Solly Dewee.
