Easter fun at the Treehouse
Children had a ball of a time at the Treehouse Kindergarten Easter party.
The children at Treehouse Kindergarten had enormous fun with their Easter party on Thursday 10 April.
The school is located on the corner of Alexandra Street and 9th Avenue, Florida.
With activities starting at 10 am, owner and teacher Sharn Ann Mitchell saw to it that the children had plenty to enjoy. Between holding and feeding real rabbits and an egg hunt the children also ran the Easter olympics. The sack race came complete with bunny ears in red and blue.
“After the egg hunt the children will also be treated to a special picnic,” said Mitchell on Thursday.
Other kindergarten teachers and herself couldn’t contain themselves from laughter as the children hopped along the stretch of the garden, some giving up on the race. Others, despite falling numerous times, were determined to finish it.
While Mitchell played Easter Bunny and hid the eggs around the garden the children were entertained indoors with balloons and bubbles.
“I think the live rabbits just added that extra touch to this magical day,” said Mitchell, albeit anxious to return the creatures to their owners.
Especially Josua Mangan (4) and Douwné van Niekerk (2) flirted with the camera throughout the day, keen to share their excitement.
