Roodepoort business breakfast celebrates entrepreneurship

A Business Networking Breakfast meant that members were certified and could network at Avianto, Muldersdrift.

Over breakfast on Wednesday morning 26 February, Rocci members fraternised, celebrating business at Avianto in Muldersdrift.

The Rocci Business Networking Breakfast was organised to get members together and certify them for their participation in the Chamber. The Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Rocci), that brands itself as ‘the voice of business’, exists to advance business owners and entrepreneurs in networking, marketing and general business operations.

Lillian Matlhaku explained that there also were networking opportunities at the breakfast in the form of speed networking sessions, as this is “what it’s all about”.

“We enjoy the idea of better positioning local business people to thrive, to make connections for future endeavors and to find mentors.”

Leon Marinus from ATKA Cross Channel Marking Specialists acted as Master of Ceremonies on the morning and guest speaker Ndaba Msalili from Stratsmith Marketing Solutions educated those in attendance about how to do brand planning.

His presentation, titled Creating a brand plan for a business, was presented with the hopes of teaching his audience not only to market their brand but plan it correctly so that marketing can be effective.

“A brand is a unique idea, perceived in the mind and hearts of the consumer.

“With developing your brand and getting it known, consistency is key.”
