Comedy, family showcase in Witpoortjie

A resident is excited to announce that a day of laughter and family fun is awaiting Witpoortjie residents.

When last could Witpoortjie residents say that they have their own events to look forward to?

Resident Mark Vaughan saw the gap in hyperlocal entertainment and thought to develop a local comedy showcase with its first celebrations on Friday 28 February and Sunday 1 March.

Families can come and spend the day at the Auto Spa Carwash at the corner of Corlett Avenue and Van de Linde Road in Witpoortjie to enjoy the showcase, food stalls, jumping castles and quad bikes on Friday 28 February from 7pm. Other stalls are also available for hire. On Sunday 1 March, these activities will start at 3.30pm. Rumours of celebrity guests are being spread, but the Record was refused names, with Mark saying “you’ll only know if you show up and enjoy some time with us”.

Tickets for the event are sold at R120 per person or R250 for a family ticket (four people, regardless of age) and can be purchased from the Carwash. Alternatively, residents can contact Mark on 078 510 7942 or 074 570 0945 or via email at djmakes0@gmail.com for further information.
