I want to appeal to all bikers to observe the rules of the road and avoid unnecessary accidents such as the one on Ouklip Road on Friday 7 February.
That particular young man came up behind me as I travelled on Ouklip Road and overtook me and a vehicle in front of me over a solid line at a high speed.
Should he have been slower or have avoided this illegal manoeuvre we wouldn’t have been witness to this unfortunate accident.
I was very upset to have watched all of this unfold right in front of me, from the time he was behind me to attempting to overtake across a solid line to eventually ramming into the elderly woman’s vehicle.
These accidents can be avoided if you simply by obeying the rules of the road.
