Roodepoort Theatre family fun day a huge success

Joburg City Theatres leaves no stone unturned to entertain families at their new facility.

If the quality of the newly re-launched Roodepoort Theatre’s fun day on 8 February is anything to go by, residents can look forward to the end of their couch potato days.

The free event saw visitors being entertained by magicians, young upcoming musicians (Santo Carl and JLS), comedians (Nadine Solomons) and the excellent hip-hop dancers from the Mario Gomez Hip-Hop School.

For the little ones there were jumping castles, fake-tattoo artists and the gardens to run around and play in.

The hungry could buy a number of dishes from the grill or sit down at the new exciting restaurant Stages for sweet or savoury. Stalls also had wares on display while others were there to make visitors aware of certain campaigns. There was also a beer tent for the adults.

The theatre along with Roodepoort Museum have many more exciting events up their sleeves for the year to come.
