The Record received various phone calls regarding a Blue Wattle tree on Ruhama Drive that residents believe is going to fall over soon.
The Record decided to investigate on 30 January after a large branch did break off and fell into the road, narrowly missing traffic on this busy artery. Residents took it upon themselves to drag the branch to the side of the road.
Motorists travelling on Ruhama from Ontdekkers Road down towards Ouklip Road will find the tree before the first bend towards the descent. It is clear that the giant tree is starting to tilt across the road, yet one cannot predict when this tragedy could strike.
