Thieves seem to continue targeting businesses on Ontdekkers Road in Horison.
In the early morning hours of 25 November between one and three thieves (only one is visible but according to the business owner and SAPS there could be two more out of the cameras’ view) entered a business (name withheld for security reasons) through the roof.
The very agile thief just grabbed a laptop despite much more valuables being available for the taking. This was due to the fact that there was a mock radio transmitter of which the thief thought he had cut the wires, yet a signal was transmitted and the alarm triggered.
What the thief did not realise was that the business has a high-tech security system that included infra-red lights so while he thought he was doing his thing in the dark carrying just a small torch, his face clearly was caught on the close circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
If someone recognises this man, please contact either the Record or Roodepoort SAPS.

We must catch this guye. He broke into my house while we were sleeping and stole 3 laptops before triggering the alarm. In the 30 seconds it took me to deactivate the alarm he escaped from the kitchen through the lounge, diningroom entrance and study through the window where he cut the burglarbar to get entrance. If I was 5 seconds quicker we would have ran into one-another in the entrance-hall. SAPS matched his fingerprints with 32 simular cases. That laptop represented everything in my life and l willdo anything to get it back.
