Man (20) alive after colliding into tree

A 20-year-old man is said to be lucky, considering he suffered only a few bruises after crashing into a big tree at the corner of Gerrit Maritz Street and Trezona Avenue in Witpoortjie this past weekend.

According to Christo Venter of ER24, “Paramedics responded to an accident in the area after a driver in a Citroën Picasso collided with a tree.

“At their arrival they found that the driver sustained minor to moderate injuries. He was treated on scene and taken to Leratong Hospital for further treatment.”

No other cars were involved.
