Roodepoort Care of the Aged will be having their annual arts and craft market at the Klein Helderkruin Retirement Centre on the corner of Graphite and Ouklip Streets in Helderkruin. The market will be open on both Thursday 28 November and Friday 29 November from 9 am to 3 pm. All items on display were hand made by senior citizens. The annual Multi Charity Carols by Candlelight will be held on Friday 29 November from 4 pm to around 8 pm. Muli Charity supporst charities including the Cansa Association, Cripple Care, Floroma Old Age Home, Gateway Village and Gateway School, Hospice (West Rand), Ikaholwe Children’s Home, Mothwas, Angel’s Place, Sanca (West Rand), Pathways and St Lawrence’s Sanctuary for abused children. Several smaller charities and soup kitchens as well as churches also benefit from their work. Join them at Ansfrere Shopping Centre in Discovery for fun, games and a fancy dress competition as well as carols. Stalls are still available! Roodepoort’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Rocci) invites residents to join the West Rand Blood Drive on 29 November. Join in for a morning of networking, fun and the chance to give the gift of life at ATKA SA on the corner CR Swart and Mimosa Street in Wilro Park. The event runs from 10 am to 2 pm.
